This position generally works 2 pm - 10 pm Monday through Friday.

Ability and willingness to work on the weekends is REQUIRED.

SUMMARY

Assists in moving materials to machines and between departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following prioritized and categorized duties.  Other duties may be assigned

  • Gathers necessary materials for production runs (empty skids, bags, trays, rubber banks, water bottles)
  • Removes bags from bag rack and stack on skids
  • Bands mail in trays and wraps skids
  • Moves finished materials to appropriate destinations insuring that proper paperwork is attached
  • Separates waste materials for proper disposal
  • Maintains a clean working area by sweeping floors and collecting trash
  • Checks bag and tray inventories
  • Notifies supervisor when supplies run low
  • Assists in various departments as needed
  • Works overtime and weekends as needed

Housekeeping

  • Maintains clean working area by sweeping floors, wiping down machinery and collecting separate trash to be recycled

 Safety

  • Knows and follows the safety procedures of the department
  • Reports work related injuries to supervisor

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school education preferred; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
