Job Summary:

Responsible for providing administrative support for the department, assisting with the hiring process, maintaining files, assisting with benefit enrollments, and handling of a high volume of employment transactions into our HR database.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None


  • Perform administrative work, including scheduling, and maintaining files (both paper and electronic) for the Human Resources department
  • Assist in recruiting for open positions including but not limited to posting positions, monitoring positions, reviewing applications/resumes
  • Monitor, review, communicate with candidates through email and phone
  • Assist in scheduling interviews and providing follow up communications to candidates and hiring managers
  • Assist with new hire onboarding
  • Coordinate employee training sessions
  • Assist in reconciliation of all benefit bills
  • Develop and foster relationships with managers and employees
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Provide coverage for front desk as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be bilingual with ability to speak fluent Spanish
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and professional skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Emotional intelligence, resilience and confidentiality are necessary.
  • Ability to shift through multiple priorities with optimism and purpose
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to implement basic quality assurance procedures to workload (ex: Checklists, Outlook reminders)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software with the ability to create and edit documents, send professional correspondence, and work in Excel at a basic proficiency level
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications


  • Prior experience with UKG/Kronos timekeeping systems preferred
  • Prior experience with HR Support role in a Manufacturing/Industrial environment preferred
  • Prior experience and familiarity with E-Verify strongly preferred

Education and Experience:

  • 2 - 4 years of human resources/administrative experience is required

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Bending, stooping, twisting
  • Reaching above and/or below shoulder
  • Handling/grasping documents or office equipment
  • Clear speaking and adequate hearing sufficient to communicate effectively and respond appropriately in-person and/or on the telephone
  • Vision sufficient to read source materials and computer screen data
  • Repetitive motions for computer equipment use
  • Requires exertion of force of 10 pounds frequently, and/or 5 pounds continuously to lift/carry/move objects, files and documents
  • Work is performed primarily in an office environment using standard office equipment
